In standard slot games, usually combinations of 3 or more symbols win.
The size of the win for each type of combination is displayed in the paytable. The payout is calculated by multiplying the wager placed on the payline by the reward multiplier for the symbol combination.
The total payout is calculated as the sum of all symbol win combinations for that spin.
Typically, there are three main rules applied for achieving a winning combination.
1. The Leftmost Rule
Symbol combinations must start from the leftmost reel. (This rule applies to almost all slot games and only has rare exceptions.)
2. The Consecutive (Adjacent) Rule
Symbols should appear consecutively across reels to be a combination.
The combination outcome is determined by the succession of symbols up until the symbol chain is interrupted.
3. The On Payline Rule
For slot games with one or more paylines, symbol combinations only win when they appear on a payline.
Exception: payline rules do not apply for 'Ways Slots.'
